Passing the time with some 'Gardening'.

When I say gardening I actually mean cutting the grass, but still, it had me out the house for probably longer than it should of done - I suspect that may have had something to do with the 4 pack of beer that I found in the shed - Mrs TC said I should do the garden more often as I when I came back into the house I was like a new man!

I've ordered some gardening books from Amazon and I have informed Mrs TC that I can only read them in peace and quiet which means I'll have to read them in the shed... Cheers.

Anybody else passing the time with a new 'hobby' during lockdown?

Not a hobby, but we've started binging on a series called Briarpatch. It's only in its first season, but it's a bit engagingly quirkier than most series.

All those people with scruffy houses and gardens have little excuse now although I'm sure some will "dig" some up.

A guy I know has a tiny garden. It could be quite a large garden - but he just keep digging holes in the earth when he feels like it and just leaves it. But he does have a patch of false grass (2m x 1m), on top of one patch of earth, on which he has a garden chair, and a pack of four cans of beer next to the chair. I don't think that gardening is his thing somehow!

    Gardening yes even me.

Mr Hamble does all the hard work I do a few jobs to help out.
    The Garden pond algae.
Trimming a wall climber back into a heart shape.
    Repainting a bird house.
Refilling all the bird and squirrel feeders.

I have a 1000 piece jig saw on the go.
    Electric bike.

Read all my public library books so now going through our collection in the library/office.

    Watching a lot more television.

Anything to forget for a short while the ongoing sadness and death toll.

Tuesday, sorted out the barbecue area.
    Wednesday, nice long bikeride.
Today, fixed up a couple of bikes.
    Tomorrow, undecided.

N.B. Not too happy about unsettling rumours heard this week, that individual outdoor exercise may soon be banned. Shopping only allowed once a week. 'Letter' required for travel, etc...Hope it's just 'false news', sounds like a bit of a nightmare!

Sadly that will depend more on the idiots who think the whole thing is just an extended holiday, our niece lives in France, now it's no more than one person in a car, must carry ID and have the required form with address, destination and reason for journey, supermarkets, one person, one trolley no children, babies or partners. Outdoor exercise banned, even bike riders and pedestrians subject to the same rules as drivers.
