    Saw Carrier

I travelled on a bus into Bury today.

As I was getting off I smiled at an elderly man with a back pack holding some travel maps in one hand.
Typical tourist looking fellow until I saw that in his other hand he was carrying a saw with rusty teeth.

    Still thinking why?

Could be he was using the maps to find historic water ways and carrying in the back pack, a long piece of para cord, some thick waterproof gloves, some carrier bags and a very strong magnet, perhaps?

Since many saw blades are ferrous metal - I dare say it was one of his finds.

A saw in a tool. How on earth could it be consider a weapon? You could call almost any object a weapon if it is in the wrong hands these days.

On a bus and carried not concealed it was a sight that made me actually
take a step back from him.

The man could have put it in his back pack by wrapping the blade leaving the handle poking out of the top.

Hah! Not if he had his sandwiches in the backpack and did not want to get them contaminated - you think?

You can just see the report on a certain other local news website along the lines of ...

Tools Out For Summer by Community Confabulator

Local expressed her shock at boarding a bus only to see an elderly gentleman exposing his tool for all to see.

"It was disgusting - his tool was clearly in need of a good clean and I'm sure at one stage it looked like he was going to give it a good polish, all in sight of innocent women and children ... it should never have been left exposed like that in a public place ... things like that should be kept undercover ... it's put me right off my dinner".

We approached Sefton Council and they responded with "It's nothing to do with us" ... typical ... we're sure West Lancs Council wouldn't allow this sort of behaviour on anything outside their jurisdiction.

We approached the local bus company for comment and they replied "Ha! Call your self a journalist? Come back when your spelling/grammar improves, and stop publishing contentious dross just for click bait".
