The Earth is Moving further from the Sun

According to Forbes:

"Some 4.5 billion years ago, our planet was around 50,000 kilometers closer to the Sun than it is today, and will grow more distant more rapidly as the Sun continues to evolve. With each and every orbit that passes, the planets become progressively less tightly-bound to our Sun."

Bearing that in mind, do you think that it is possible that at one time, life did exist on each of the other planets, but that they moved too far distant from the sun, resulting in a different atmosphere killing off all life forms?

I'm sure they could find some world renowned scientist to sow the seed of hysteria and convince the majority of our gullible population that if we cycle more and build more wind turbines we could avoid the looming global cooling.

That is a fantastic idea! Get the wind turbine propellors fitted to bikes so that cyclists could pedal like mad and create electricity while having the British population on this super fit program. You should get a medal for that Duncet - brilliant! What do you think PNP?

I was about 6 or 7 yrs old when gilligans island was on tv and I was arguing with a girl in the playground, she called me Gilligan as the tv character was crazy and the nickname stuck all through each year of school and my life.
