The likely source still points to China, but the Chinese authorities were slow to declare just what was happening, whether this was by design or not knowing themselves is very much the real question.

No Country is ever totally honest but countries pointing the finger with false accusations to score points doesn't help, We will probably never know and people who do know will be silenced by being bought off or 'disappeared.

Like any laboratory in a secure unit is going to open it's doors wide to reveal an illegal research - if as it is claimed whistle blowers quietly disappeared, then do you honestly think that Chinese authorities would allow the world to see what they do not want them to see?

As a dedicated Covid denier, you have no real interest in the lab leak theory, which is why you've never shown any previous interest in the theory. Indeed, how could you have concerned yourself with the 'leak' of something that you don't believe exists?

I find the 'lab leak' to be by far the most likely source of Covid.....Wuhan is where Covid first appeared and is also - surprise surprise - where the suspect lab is located. If it didn't leak from that lab, it's an incredible coincidence that Covid 'evolved' within a few miles of the very lab that was experimenting with it.

I don't think the Italian connection can be ignored, it was discovered there very early and was the first place it went rampant neither can the imported Pangolin from the Philippines be discounted either.

Poor things, it's hard to think of a less offensive creature...Why can't these people leave pangolins alone to get on with their pangolin lives in peace, rathe than killing and pulling the scales off them?

Imo, since pangolins have been a part of Chinese medicine for thousands of years, it's mighty curious how they have only now transmitted Covid to humans. And that just as a lab is experimenting with it.

Regards the China-to-Italy connection, I posted a video, Italian residents hug Chinese people to encourage them in coronavirus fight, in post #88 of the Trump And The Chaina Virus thread, a YouTube video uploaded by CGTN, China Global Television Network, which is owned by the Chinese state media China Central Television, under the control of the Propaganda Department of the Chinese Communist Party.

Here's a very similar one, entitled Passersby give Chinese girl hugs in Milan, also never once been taken down from YouTube, also uploaded in early February 2020, by New China TV, a division of Xinhua, the official state-run press agency of the People's Republic of China, founded by the Chinese Communist Party.

Yes, it was claimed that Chinese immigrant workers returning from the Chinese New Year celebrations in China, had been the cause. Except that they got the date of the Chinese New Year wrong and that the migrant workers had not yet returned back.

I'm surprised by the readiness of posters on this thread to suggest that Covid's origins lie in EU member states rather than in China.

I must have underestimated the appeal of the Chinese Communist Party.
