    UK Holidays 2021

Cruise ship company's are doing around the UK trips for Brits only.

We did not fancy one as the trip was no stops for passengers.

Another offered few stops the catch is ship trips only which means
all tours are extra and guided which is hard if you wanted to go it
alone or meet up with friends and relatives.

We have been on 2 trips around the UK over the years clockwise and anti really enjoyed them.

    Anyone tempted?

Never fancied a cruise but I booked this summer's UK holiday 12 months ago at 40% off which was handy as they now appear to be inflating the prices for this year to extortionate levels.

It's not just cruise companies jacking up prices the coach companies are as well and B&B's not taking bookings because they are waiting to see what the price goes upto.

I don't really know - there are lots of places in the UK where I have not been to , several people I could swap house with and one I could possibly borrow a boat from. Plenty of things to do - Fishing, Hiking, Caving, Photography, Metal Detecting, Cycling, etc., I will wait and see what the weather is going to be like and then just take off I think.

You will need a caravan for all those equipment eventualities.

    I don't like caravans - too claustrophobic!

I like to have my own bed and bedding with me, so have tried most types of portable accommodation over the years. Tents large and small, trailer-tent, caravan and a campervan. In the end I settled on a motorhome, as best of bunch.

On a long trip, I can park-up whenever tired, kip till refreshed, then continue on. It's easy to take the bikes along, cook, watch telly of an evening, etc. I like to use wild pitches, pref with great views. Hard to beat establishing yourself on a clifftop pitch, above a cool bay somewhere.

I don't consider roughing it a holiday since I left my Enid Blyton books and the parental fold.
