URGENT - The Birds need help !

I've noticed quite a few dead birds the last couple of days, not just the usual ones in the middle of the road or in the gutter.
The puddles have all dried up and the wildlife are getting dehydrated, if you have any dishes in the garden fill them up with water and put some extra ones out as well, it's not just the birds that will benefit the hedgehogs and all sorts of other creatures will be saved.

Great advice. I leave one out on my bird feeders all summer long and whenever it freezes in the winter. I also leave one out at ground level for hedgehogs and insects. I leave a couple of semi submerged stones in this one so no one drowns.

I've been leaving water out. I figure insects might need some.

I've noticed quite a few trees shedding their leaves. I figure it must be some survival mechanism, so I've been pouring some waste water around the base of a few locally.

Not sure it'll do any good, but I guess it won't do any harm either.

Suspect there'll be a lot of call for water anytime now, with the ground so dry and so many heat warnings in force, re risk of wildfires......Wonder how long it will be, before Saddleworth Moor catches again, frying wildlife in the process?

It is far better than allowing it to just go down the drains, water butts are quite cheap to buy, Wilko do one for just over £20 and are really really simple to install.
