I think they should let the 'top' European clubs, including the English 'big six' form their own European Super league and let them get on with it.

After a couple of years with no promotion and relegation, and with Man Utd playing Bayern Munich for the fourth time that season, it'll be like the tennis, with Djokovic playing Nadal every other week, and people just won't pay for it.

I'd rather watch a competitive English Championship game rather than a millionaires' exhibition match any time.

Many fans have been alienated from the game anyway - Sky aren't bothered if attendances slump because they make their money regardless.

I'm not suggesting that we go back to the days of the maximum wage, but the whole structure of football depends on TV money and it's become a house of cards. Something radical needs to happen so that the grass roots clubs get a bigger share of the money in football - after all, they are still the producers of much of the young talent coming into the game.

This is all about money and more money and that’s it, they don’t care about the club’s history or the fans, they just want to market a product for the maximum return.

And while I agree with you about grassroots football and bringing talent through, if you think grassroots football will see any money in the future if this goes through then I think you’re wearing those “rose tinted glasses” I mentioned earlier.

I dont think it will happen , certainly in its present form . And any changes would have to be ratified surely.
But theres no smoke without fire .

I think you're right, as she has said before about her desire for rugby players.

To that end and as best as I recall, she expressed her excited memories of a player called (something like) Gwyn Jones (?), especially when after a spot of on-field naughtiness he would be sent to something called the sin-bin.
