I'd rather watch a competitive English Championship game rather than a millionaires' exhibition match any time.
Be careful what you wish for.

The fans might be looking at it through “rose tinted glasses” but the reality is they probably won’t be able to travel to away games for financial reasons.
Then once the “Yanks” get control of things they’ll have Liverpool playing a home game v Man Utd in Texas or California.
Never, ever, argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience

I wouldn't like to see any reahup of the premier league but they do say " money talks".

If that's the case, then so be it.

Many fans have been alienated from the game anyway - Sky aren't bothered if attendances slump because they make their money regardless.

I'm not suggesting that we go back to the days of the maximum wage, but the whole structure of football depends on TV money and it's become a house of cards. Something radical needs to happen so that the grass roots clubs get a bigger share of the money in football - after all, they are still the producers of much of the young talent coming into the game.

This is all about money and more money and that’s it, they don’t care about the club’s history or the fans, they just want to market a product for the maximum return.

And while I agree with you about grassroots football and bringing talent through, if you think grassroots football will see any money in the future if this goes through then I think you’re wearing those “rose tinted glasses” I mentioned earlier.

Isn't it true that the proposed Premier League "overhaul" has been unanimously rejected? Back to normal then!.....Next subject ??
