Yes, but it also leaves a scum - I should have said, liquid soap - sorry.

What next Bryant & May or Swan Vesta which matches are the best? You all seem to know a lot about Southport but can't seem to find the right soap for our water.
We have used Imperial Leather for years and if it leaves a line around the washbasin or bath we clean it off, do you have a little man to do that for you and you are trying to save on his minimum wage expense in these desperate times.
We had to part ways with the emptier of the P*^" Pots so we have to do it ourselves my job like you is taking the P*^" every morning.

All soap should lather with hot water and a brisk hand flap in the water.

I have used that in the shower - it is better than many so called shower soaps.

All liquid soap products including shampoo are no longer of the standard they used to be. The last good soap was removed from shelves in 2019. Now there does not appear to be anything that gives a good lather. May as well save money and just use plain water.
The fact that no-one has been able to come up with any recommendations supports this view.

I have got loads of different liquid soaps in the bathroom but like to use head and shoulders apple fresh shampoo, it soaps up and you smell like fresh washed hair and it’s got medication in it that’s good on all your skin .

In WW2 people could not be so fussy!
By coincidence I fell upon this interesting and entertaining exchange in the commons 1946.
A Southport M.P Mr R.S Hudson speaks.

How obvious! There is a purge on rinse off cosmetic products which has been in effect since 2019. The New World saving the Planet includes changing around 73000 products and services.
What is clear is that the UK has left the EU in name only - all the changes are under the EU label.
I agree that far too many goods have far too many chemicals in them and that natural products are far better - we have come to rely on clean smelling skin and healthy feeling hair. But, and especially in a hard water environment - until better natural products are produced, this is a part of changing times.
Tablet soaps will become more common because liquid soaps are contained in plastic containers and anti-bacterial soaps of all kinds have already been stopped.
