Not really - I came across an article that claimed child modelling in the US is a multi - billion dollar industry. I knew that some American women followed it - but not to the extent that the link indicated. Quite honestly, I think it is despicable. The knock on effect doesn't bear thinking about. Toddlers injected with damaging chemicals who will grow up believing that they are the most beautiful people on earth, are likely to suffer mental breakdowns when they find they are not. Plus the dependency on chemicals as they try to achieve the impossible The effect on class colleagues during school years - so damaging. Not to even mention the effect on the mental sexually disturbed people in society. The very disturbing story of Jon Bennet Ramsey comes to mind. This industry is far more dangerous than that of gun crime, in my view and it should be stopped.

As obnoxious and disturbing that the child beauty pageant circus may be, to say that it’s more dangerous than gun crime is ridiculous. There were just under 14000 homicides in American in 2018 involving a gun. About 1.4 million people have died from firearms in the U.S. between 1968 and 2011. This number includes all deaths resulting from a firearm, including suicides, homicides, and accidents.
