BOJO is now telling us that the Infection Rate, Hospitalisations & death Rate reduction is down to the Lockdown not the vaccinations but it has helped. Is he now telling us that the vaccines are next to useless and we should expect another wave and more lockdowns?

He is marginalising them, if they were so effective surely he would be saying ... the lockdown in conjunction with the vaccination programme.........
I'm just asking the question.

Transmission rates and hospital admissions/deaths are kept down by lockdown measures.
Over half the UK adult population has had the first vaccine dose.
The other half are still getting the infection and spreading the virus to others.
Children and young adults are not vaccinated.
Or to look at it another way.
If lockdown was permanent and strict transmission rates would be lower than vaccinating all adults taking into consideration all the unvaccinated
under 16's and non UK contacts normal life would bring.

There is also the ones who have natural immunity because of previous infection.

Evidence shows a booster vaccination is needed for everyone which may mean immunity will not last or fail with a different strain of the virus.
There has been no decision on whether immune people could still act as a conduit of the virus to a non immune person.
