Members of the Unite union are protesting outside Southport MP Damien Moore's office today. They are unhappy at British Airways treatment of their staff.
British Airways is the only company attempting to fire nearly all its 42,000 staff and re-hire on drastically slashed pay and conditions. 225 MPs have supported BA workers. Over 160 have signed a pledge to strip BA of its lucrative landing slots if they don’t step back.
The BA leadership’s handling of the Covid-19 crisis and treatment of its staff has been nothing less than incompetent. The devastation BA is causing to people’s lives is terrible. The Commons Transport Select Committee took a detailed look at BA and dubbed the airline a ‘national disgrace’.

I cannot understand why BA staff would choose to protest outside Moore’s office. There are something like 400 Tory MP’s at Westminster, and probably every one of them carry more clout than lame duck Moore does.

Pity we can't petition the Queen to sack all the MP's and take them back on vastly reduced rates of pay.

The Unite Union blunders about as usual.
In case they hadn't noticed there's a pandemic which is affecting travel and all the airlines are in deep trouble, some won't survive.
If they want to protest then BA's head office might be a better start.

Yes but BA are taking advantage by reducing staff/pay far more than they need.

"far more than they need"
How on earth do you know that ?
They are stacking up business busting losses with no significant recovery to be seen.
Unite are totally out of their depths.

Protesting outside Damien Moore's office? Really? Where's that then?...and is Damien Moore the only person to have an office in that particular building?
Sounds like more fantasy reporting clickbait to me.

Sure BA’s offices would be a better place, but when it comes to BA’s actions, remember this action over new contracts will not apply for a limited period, what BA are trying is to simply rewrite employment conditions in the long term, using the current situation as an excuse.
I think everyone is very well aware of the effects on travel, but are opposed to opportunistic attacks from employers, this smacks of Victorian style mill and mine owners, who would arbitrarily reduce employers pay, knowing they could do little about it, as at that time many employees lived in housing owned by their employers.
