But these racist scum bags are all facing a lifetime ban from the club ha ha.

Don't see the issue. You can't have double standards. If they want to plaster black lives matter everywhere. Then why can't someone say white lives matter?

This banner may not directly be a racist statement, but it was certainly a dog-whistle for racists, and was definitely in bad taste given the current political situation.

Black Lives Matter is a movement to specifically raise awareness of and campaign against institutionalised racism and brutality in the police force against black people. Displaying a "White Lives Matter" slogan above a football stadium that has shown solidarity towards BLM both undermines and mocks the movement. White people are a majority in both the UK and the US, and do not face discrimination from society or law enforcement. Good call on Burnley for doing this.

Apparently the same banner towing company towed a banner proclaiming BLM a short time ago. Funny nobody said anything about that but a big fuss is being made over this one. Free speech!!!!

I think you will find that Burnley's fan numbers will drop considerably - there is a call to boycott all their matches.

Yes, I understood that was the case. The original BLM has been infiltrated from within their numbers.

I'd have said "Black Lives Matter" was certainly a dog-whistle for racists. Especially in conjunction with the black power fist, which has been seen many times on the T.V.

They are stirring a hornets nest. The far left have already got their neck hairs up thanks to Brexit. Now they are all bored and frustrated due to the Covid virus. This is like lighting the blue paper.

We have to fear the left taking any excuse to cause trouble, they have a history of mindless violence
