After the trial and subsequent imprisonment of David Barton senior for fraud and money laundering Barton Park Care Home has had its registration cancelled by the Care Quality Commission.

A spokesperson said...

“We have taken urgent action to cancel this provider’s registration with CQC because of its inability to provide safe care. We have been continually monitoring the provider in light of the serious fraud case against its senior management.

“Through our inspection process we have found the quality of care had deteriorated significantly and the remnants of the provider’s management were unable to make quality improvements.

"Because of this people were placed at serious risk of harm and we took urgent action to protect them.

“We have been working very closely with all concerned parties, including Sefton Borough Council who have supported the people using the service to find safe alternative care."

Sefton Council are believed to have found alternative accommodation for the remaining residents.

The staff have lost their jobs.

Because of the greed of Barton the residents are punished. They are moved out of their home. Can't some body be appointed to run the home so the residents don't have to move?
