Sefton Council beach cleaners face a gigantic task this morning to remover the tons of rubbish left behind by day trippers yesterday.

Thousands more people are expected to visit Southport today to enjoy the glorious weather.

Here we go again warm weather bank holidays and trippers means plenty of rubbish to clear if only the dullards at Sefton Council could work it out.


They could even send the odd litter warden out.

You never let up do you? Your constant sniping at Sefton council, and by implication it's workers, is pathetic - were you savaged by a councillor as a child?

This is a non story which simply presents another opportunity to those in denial over austerity.
The pictures show rubbish, contained within bags, placed quite neatly adjacent to the bin. This will be collected in due course

You of course always jump to the defence of poor performance and make excuses do you work for Sefton Council ?

Where is the poor performance or excuses?

Start complaining next week if it is still there or do you want an army of staff sat around for 50 weeks a year just waiting for a sunny Bank Holiday or a flurry of snow ?

I will probably be criticised (again) by saying that the majority of people will use rubbish bins - the fact is that there are too few of these around. It has been shown that the orange parade supporters obviously use the bins since they are filled to overflowing on the days of the parades. On the beach - the few bins are filled to overflowing - so several people must be using them.

As you suggest there is no poor performance and no excuses are offered up. This particular individual delights in deriding those who work for Sefton but their posts are singularly bereft of any viable suggestions.

Did they vote for the Conservatives or Lib Dems and by proxy the doctrine of Austerity?

The Council do deserve criticism for not providing more bins which are clearly needed. Perhaps on sunny weekends when they know the beach will be very busy a skip at the beach entrance would be a good idea?

That's probably the best answer,

but in absence of people not behaving as they should then the local authority workers pooling together their brain cells might one day work out that sunshine and bank holidays brings more visitors and cold weather and winter reduces them.

Most people could hazard a guess when the beach is likely to be busy and it won't be 50 weeks of the year.

Allocating hours with this in mind might be an idea..........

Whilst Sefton Council and its employees fail to provide basic services to an adequate standard for Council Tax payers I will point it out.
