A street light on busy Benthams Way has come crashing down. Bits of the light are now strewn all over the pavement. Poor maintenance of the lights by the Council is thought to be a contributing factor.

Poor quality of manufacture would top my list.

Did they maintain the others and ignore that one?

Has "Local" examined the said lamp for quality??? I think not

Probably, the Council or the contractors they employ, no longer bulk change lights and now rely on the public to report any faulty lights.

I know now from experience, reported a faulty light in November; February and counting.
