Bridle Road in Netherton will temporarily close for five days to undertake carriageway resurfacing and hedge cutting works next month.
Due to the narrow width of the carriageway, Bridle Road will be closed to all through traffic for the duration of the works, which are due to begin on Monday October 15.
These works will be signposted accordingly and diversions are in place Via Dunningsbridge Road, Netherton Way A59, Hornby Road and Southport Road.
Cllr John Fairclough, Sefton Council’s Cabinet Member for Locality Services said: “Unfortunately the nature of these works, including how deep the excavation of the carriageway needs to be, means that we have to close the road to through traffic.
“Access for pedestrians and emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times but we are asking residents and businesses to make adequate provisions for any deliveries as access may be denied due to site safety.”
