This week is Independent Bookshop Week and is being celebrated by Southport's oldest and most well known bookshop.

Broadhurst is an indie bookshop at 5-7 Market Street in Southport, selling new & secondhand books. Open Monday-Friday 10am-5pm, Saturday 9am-5pm.

Founded in 1920, our shop in Southport sells new, secondhand & antiquarian books, arranged over 3 floors, including a dedicated children's book room. We pride ourselves on our dedication to books & bookselling, hosting regular author signings (including Terry Pratchett, Michael Palin, & many more), book launches, & selling books at literary events with other local arts organisations, & have been visited by some famous names - from H.G. Wells & Rudyard Kipling to Johnny Cash.
