Merseyside Police have released details of the latest crime results.

Burglaries in the West Sefton Area. 35%
ASB in parks and Town Centre 24%
Speeding 10%
Aggressive begging in the town centre 8%
Drug supply and use 23%



Drugs.

The figures are up by 6% over the same period, however this is as a result of more people being found in possession of drugs, which shows that there has been more proactive work in this area. This falls hand in hand with the other two priorites as the people who use drugs may well be involved in other crime and ASB and that by targeting the other two priorities we also target this.

ASB.

The figures are down 26% over the same three month period. This follows lots of work targeting offenders in the Southport Town Centre area including obtaining a restraining order and several prosecutions. We have again used plain clothes and high visibility work as part of this.
