On your argument, the Council own Bootle Strand, so if Bootle shoppers go there then it benefits Southport!

You really are thick! Go and do your whinging and whining at your beloved shambolic tory Party. All Sefton are doing is spending the money they were allocated from the government to set the cycle lanes up. Surely it’s not that much of a difficult concept to grasp, even for an idiot like your good self.

Regardless of where the money came from, and that’s not the issue anyway, it doesn’t mean the Council has to waste it.
Incidentally, I might be really thick, and an idiot, but I do know that you should have written, “All Sefton IS doing is spending the money IT was allocated from the Government”.

No, the sentence I wrote is grammatically correct and makes sense.
So, where do you suggest they spend the money which was allocated for pop up cycle lanes then? Can’t wait for them to make a start on Queens Rd.

it costs the same for me to park in Liverpool as it does Southport ...
traffic wise , Southport may as well be on the moon .. I have done that Coastal road once to often stuck behind a dawdler .
Liverpool has more shops ....

Why not every road ?
no point in encouraging any more customers our town is thriving, retail in particular is having it away and there are waiting lists for premises.
If you go out this morning cyclists are laden down with shopping, panniers bursting it's a madhouse.
Sefton Council is as usual ahead of the game.

I have a question. If you can't use Talbot Street as a through road, what about the people who live on Talbot Street?
Can they drive down Talbot Street and how will it be enforced? Who will police the usage?

What should have been written was 'Sefton is following a directive from the Government.'

I think Parking in Liverpool is rather more expensive than Southport.
Southport has an excellent Park n Ride for £2and can drop you off nearer your destination than any city car park.

but Liverpool city centre is pedestrianised...

If you’re going to an address in Talbot Street, then you’re not using it as a through road.
In the original article it says:-
‘ Talbot Street / Eastbank Street junction – Temporary traffic management trial to prohibit the exit from Talbot street onto Eastbank Street.’
I’m guessing if you’re seen turning from Talbot Street into Eastbank Street, you’ll get a ticket for Being in contravention of which ever rule is being applied.

But if you're turning from Talbot Street to Eastbank Street, you may live in Talbot Street.
Are we saying that, even if you live in Talbot Street, you can't turn into Eastbank Street?

Yes. You cannot turn from Talbot S.t into Eastbank St.
What i want to know is. There are cycle lanes on both sides of the road on Talbot St from Portland St. up to Belmont St.. It does however state that limited periods of parking may be allowed in this area, but i thought you couldn't park on a cycle lane or even enter it Where are all the cars that used this area going to park? All rather silly if you ask me
