It’s a tough start for the Sandgrounders but a good early test.

The injury situation at the club has been grabbing the headlines with Nyal Bell, Josh Hmami and Declan Evans all sidelined but manager Liam Watson remains confident that the lads will go in to the game full of confidence.

Our last visit to the impressive new Jakemans Stadium saw a 1-1 draw with a late Boston equaliser just thwarting a 3 point haul. Southport should have been 2-0 up early in that game with a sleepy linesman missing the ball going over the line from a Jack Doyle free kick. Boston came back very strongly in the game and it was all out defence in the final few minutes.

Away supporters will be housed in the East Stand, accessible via turnstile E2. Admission prices are £14 for adults, £11 for concessions (OAPs and students) and £5 for under-16s. Our matchday programme ‘The Pilgrim’ will be on sale priced £3 per copy.
