Southport will look to return to winning ways as they head to Aggborough to face Kidderminster Harriers.

After being on a strong winning streak, Liam Watson’s side have slumped to back-to-back league defeats, but will take confidence from last week’s 3-2 victory away to Colne in the Buildbase FA Trophy.

Meanwhile this week’s opponents, Kidderminster, will be looking to grab three points after their cup exit to Curzon Ashton last week, following a 3-0 defeat.

Prior to that, their last Vanarama National League North game saw them suffer a 4-2 loss to King’s Lynn Town, meaning they are winless in their last three league games.

Their last victory came back in October, with goals from Correy Davidson and Ed Williams securing a 2-0 victory over Farsley Celtic.

The key man for Kiddy has been Ashley Chambers, with the former York striker scoring nine times so far this season, building on the 13 he netted last year.

With five wins in 16 games, John Pemberton’s side currently sit in 17th place.

In the first meeting between the two sides last season, it was the Port fans who came away the happier as Watson’s side produced a 4-1 victory.

Jack Sampson grabbed a double, whilst Jason Gilchrist and Dion Charles bagged one each, to record one of the biggest wins of the season.

Meanwhile the reverse fixture at the end of last season, things ended in a 2-2 draw, with Charles getting both goals.

Travelling Port supporters will be hoping to come back from Worcestershire with maximum points again this weekend.
