Our hospitals are very busy. You may face a long wait in A&E if your condition is not urgent.
Instead get help straight away from NHS 111. You could also visit a nearby NHS walk-in centre, your GP, or local pharmacy.
Keep A&E for life-threatening emergencies.

I went to A&E in absolute agony I had to order one of the London type cabs as my back was that bad I couldn't get in a normal car. When called through I was asked to lie on the bed I couldn't the doctor came in looked at my medical records and said you have had a bad back before and gave me a prescription.
I went to see a back specialist at Renacres and lo and behold I had a prolapsed disc and he didn't need an X ray (which they never did at A&E) to find it my back was like a letter S'
It is a cattle market in the NHS now and I can't see this lot getting it anywhere near fixed. Perhaps a strict pay before treatment for non British Nationals should be put in place as boat loads of new patients are arriving daily.

Just make sure that when you need treatment, you only need to do so Monday to Friday!

Phoning 111 is counter productive, the advice is usually to phone an ambulance if it doesn't improve soon.
NHS Walk in Centre - Ormskirk, Skem, Blackpool, Chorley!
Visit GP, Good Luck with That! You are 48 in the queue, we have no appointments left, please try tomorrow, go to A&E.
Pharamacy - take paracetamol, buy this overpriced over the counter medicine

After visiting the GP it was necessary for a xray so after a trip Ormskirk walkin where there is xray dept they said they were at capacity and to go to Southport so with GPS letter in hand I laid a carbon trail to A&E where social distancing was impossible. After 2 hrs wait for triage and then at least 2 /3 hrs was told by triage that a doctor would have to authorise the xray and nurses prodding and poking and coming to wrong conclusions. PEN PUSHERS IN THE NHS ARE THE PROBLEM. That was the night England played Hungary, still waiting for xray.
