The High Park Community Action Group is restarting on January 19th 2022 with monthly in-person meetings. According to The High Park Project’s Community Organiser Joe McNulty it has been a difficult couple of years for charities having to adapt to Zoom and outdoor activity to replace face to face work but they are proud of what they have achieved under the circumstances.

“It has been an incredible year for us despite Covid disrupting our plans but we know the community wants to do more. We’re looking forward to enjoying face to face discussions about their sense of identity and how they want to develop over the coming years – The project is all about the High Park Community leading on changes to their area rather than having others make decisions for them so we look forward to seeing them in January.”
They say they are in a good place to adapt if restrictions increase again -
“We know we can adapt and use Zoom or possibly meet outside but we are hopeful we can get back to residents meeting others in person in the heart of their community. The High Park Project’s National Lottery Funding is due to end in 2024 so we are keen to make another flying start to the new year!”
The High Park Community Action Group will take place 6-8pm on Wednesday 19th January 2022 in the Newton room, Canning Road Church, Canning Road, PR9 7SS.
