That is what a valued member at Southportnews questioned after receiving the leaflet pictured below at the weekend.

There is no mention of Southport at all in the leaflet.

I can't see what's unusual about the Labour leaflet.

Yesterday's report in the Sunday Times from the poll by Survation predicted Southport would fall to Labour anyway. I'd be surprised, but pleasantly.

    1. True. Standard fare — vague platitudes — as candidate leaflets do.

Is it Damien Moore versus Patrick Hurley
      this time around?

    2. The poll alluded to noted that it was largely Reform candidates improved ranking that accounted for the reduction in Conservative seats as compared with previous MRP [Multilevel regression and poststratification] compared with two previous polls by Survation:
      • Reform UK surge across the country, coming second in 7 seats
      • Reform UK standing aside would increase Conservative seat haul by more than 50%

Ha!Ha! "Let's all move to the lovely Conservative town of Southport" So people all move in because it is better in Southport than where they came from - and then try all they can to make it like the place they have moved from. That is the local riddle - can anyone explain it?
