Join Green Sefton for a series of free beachcombing walks next week and discover the mysteries of the tideline.

Shells, seaweed, mini-beasts and who knows what else washes up on the tides twice a day, and a guided walk can reveal a host of treasures on the strandline - one of the most important, but often overlooked, habitats on the coast.

Booking is absolutely essential for these walks by emailing john.dempsey@sefton.gov.uk.

The walks will take place at Ainsdale on Monday, September 20th from 12.30pm to 3pm and at Ainsdale on Tuesday September 21st from 1-3pm; and finally at Crosby Beach on Wednesday, September 22nd, from 1-3pm.

Meeting point details etc will be provided on booking.

Stout footwear and weather appropriate clothing are essential and you may wish to bring gloves for this activity.

See you on the sand!
