The front door has been smashed down to gain entry.

No idea, but as there was an operation in Southport today, Lancs may have asked for assistance, they’ve been knocked back and had to carry out their own raid, or it may be part of the same operation.

A Police officer of England and Wales is a Police officer anywhere in those areas. They don't need permission of Merpol, will just have given the courtesy of advising what they are doing in another force area.

Agreed, but they’ll often ask the local force to carry things out on their behalf as local knowledge can go a long way.
