St Teresa’s was pleased to welcome the local MP, Damien Moore, to the school for a visit on 10th January. He had a tour and met with children, staff and several governors.
He was impressed with the questions some of the children asked about being in Parliament and being “on television”. His assistant, Naveen Bhatia, noted how polite and well behaved the children were.
Mr Moore understood the challenges facing small schools and, in discussion with the governors, expressed his support for the school to remain open and to provide choice for parents and their children as outlined in the school’s recent proposal to Sefton Council of gradually expanding the school’s provision until Year 6.
The school is having an open day this Saturday, 11th January 11am—1pm, primarily aimed at encouraging new and existing parents to consider enrolling their child for September
