Police are currently in attendance on Lulworth Road, Birkdale this evening, Tuesday 30 November.

At around 4:35pm we received a report of a road traffic collision.

Emergency services are currently at the scene and an investigation is ongoing.

Road closures are in place on Lulworth Road and motorists are advised to avoid the area.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any information is asked to DM @MerpolCC or call 101 with reference 655 of 30/11.

Road closures remain in place on LULWORTH ROAD, SOUTHPORT between WELD ROAD and UPPER AUGHTON ROAD, while officers and paramedics continue to work at the scene of a serious road traffic collision. The closures are likely to remain in place overnight.
