I'm delighted to submit a letter of support, further to the one submitted by Dukes Ward Councillor, Sir Ron Watson CBE, to Mersey Travel for Hillside Station in Southport to become a priority station on the Access for All Programme.
If successful, it will mean Hillside Station will become accessible for everyone in Southport, including those who are disabled.
If you have experienced any difficulty in accessing Hillside Station, I would encourage you to write to Cllr Liam Robinson.

half a million people. Really??
A record-breaking crowd of 235,000 attended The 146th Open at Royal Birkdale setting an attendance record for a Championship staged outside of St Andrews.

It doesn’t matter how many people attended the Open that’s immaterial, the station needs disabled access.

I agree - it is long overdue. Even if just one person cannot gain access to the Public station - it is one person who would be put to some hardship. On occasion when I have been to the station, it is only by the help of the public that young mothers with pushchairs, the elederly and wheel chair users have been able to gain access.

That's amazing news! You know, I am a disabled person and I am going to be more mobile in the future. That's why I am choosing electric wheelchair Pride Mobility scooter. They all look nice to me and that's why this really difficult to make a choice.
