Local singer and guitarist Pete Rimmer has been busy during lockdown producing a CD of his music on an album called Off the Shelf.
It’s a mixture old and new songs written by Pete and featuring the musical skills of friends Mike Cooper ,Bill Hackney ,Michael Rimmer ,Gallimaufry and many more it’s a good selection of Pete’s music.
Pete has been a performer since 1967 in those heady days of the folk boom and over these years he has been involved in many of the music events in the North West of England and is a long-time resident singer at the world famous Bothy Folk Club in Southport.
Hopefully the Bothy Folk Club will be able to resume its regular Sunday night event soon.
For more details about Pete’s album and the Bothy Folk Club have a look at the Bothy Folk Club website www.bothyfolkclub.co.uk
Copies of Pete’s Album are available from Quicksilver Music in Market Street.

I am listening to it this very minute, well done. Recorded, on-line and video are the only ways we have had to enjoy our music for the last 12 months. Through the summer I am hoping for a safe, steady return to live music at The Bothy.
