Somebody has parked up an old battered caravan in the car Park at The Sands in Ainsdale. It does not appear to have been abandoned as the owner has purchased two Pay and Display tickets and placed them in the window.

If it was dumped / parked at 5pm last night it’s paid up until 11 am today, when you photographed it and posted it at 11.03 today did it have another ticket on it?, was this the same one that ceam saw?, maybe it’s someone’s caravan and they have just parked it up, is there anyone living in it. I suppose if someone had dumped it putting a ticket on it would save any questions leaving the car park without it and giving them 18 hours to get away.

No, but if the parking tickets are up to date, it doesnt matter if it's a manky caravan or a brand new BMW, it is doing no harm.

Hardly detracting from the beautiful vista of a gravel car park, busy roundabout, several boarded up buildings, and the plastic bags entangled in Pontins' barbed wire fences.

It was a caravan I saw on Friday, with binbags hanging out the window on the formby-by-pass. Clearly Roving-eye is following up the fact it was later spotted at the sands. You could always volunteer to clear it up once it turns out it's dumped. Or do you just like our council tax spent on crap like this and scumbags getting away with dumping their **** on our door step?

Did you manage to get any details of the vehicle towing it?
I’m sure the council would be interested when the tickets expire and it becomes obvious that it’s been fly tipped.

Unfortunately and very annoyingly the memory card corrupted when I put it into my P.C.
Wish I'd taken that photo/video off first before pulling off the one with you young lad on his bike in Churchtown.

All I have are some very blurry pictures taken at dusk of the van parked up at the Sands. After getting a tip off it was parked up there. No number plate though :-(

So annoying, another one our council will have to clear up no doubt.

Shame. Must have been driven past countless council managed cctv en route to the sands though.
