Crews from Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service's Marine Rescue Unit were called to the River Mersey on Thursday 18th July after reports a person was in difficulty in the water, close to Woodside Ferry.
Crews were alerted at 12pm and on scene at 12.08pm.
Marine Fire One attended, as well as HM Coastguard and the RNLI's lifeboat from New Brighton.
Crews conducted a short search of the area and with the assistance of local police and shipping traffic, located the person.
Marine Fire One crews pulled this person onto the boat before conveying them back to the Marine Rescue Unit. Crews administered first aid and oxygen whilst they awaited paramedics.
The person was then assessed by paramedics and taken to hospital for further assessment.
Crews left the scene at 1.05pm
