Get Sefton Council to give Pleasureland a 100 year lease. Then we would be able to become the new Disney land of the northwest with the investors that would come. But Sefton won’t.Wonder why?

Before his untimely death in 2006, Geoffrey Thomson had negotiated a 100year lease, (150 year lease was also mentioned)with Sefton Council in 2003. Whichever was correct, it was certainly a very long lease and was to include the old Southport Zoo as well as part of Princes Park. I believe Lord Fearn was a Cabinet Member of the Council when the lease was agreed with Southport Pleasureland, perhaps he could clarify the position?

So not free, so camper vans will be parked up in free to park areas, maybe round Hesketh Park.

But its not free to park in a road it requires Tax ,insurance ,mot ,and all the other expensive costs ,far from free and campsites from £100 -140 a week ! ,non of that includes gas,food ,medical costs ,how any one can say camper van use is free seems rather nieave its more expensive than running a car .
Not seen camper vans on there (rspb)at night for at least a year since the no overnight parking signs whent up ,seems this topic is using the camper theory as a scapegoat .
The real problem is the cars late at night that wheel spin in circles ,do handbrake turns which has destroyed the surface ,then toss litter and takeaway crap all over the car park .
