Connor, 21, who started out at St Helens Town before progressing through the youth set-up at Skelmersdale United, joins the Port ahead of the new campaign.

The right winger moves into senior football for the first time and has caught the eye for Watson’s side during pre-season with a number of creative, energetic performances.

I’m absolutely thrilled to sign for Southport and I honestly can’t wait to get going. This is a huge opportunity for me and I want to grab it with both hands.
Everything has happened fairly quickly but it’s been great getting to know the lads over the past few weeks and Liam has already been really helpful.

Connor on joining the Port
Connor is a great find and I’m sure he’ll surprise a few people this season. He’s been brought to light by Tommy Lawson and he rates him really highly.
Connor is technically very good, he’s direct and has got so much potential. If he’s as good as some of Tommy’s previous finds then we’ve hopefully unearthed a little gem.

Liam is delighted with his new signing
We’re delighted welcome Connor to the club and we can’t wait to see him in action this season.
