The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) provides a lot of helpful information to help the fight against cyber crime in the UK.

Instead of just ignoring / deleting possible cyber crime you can report these to the NCSC with some simple adivce and links. Reporting is quick and easy and will help them crack down on these purportrators of crime.

Starting with TEXT messages - simply forward the suspicious text to 7726. This free-of-charge short code enables your provider to investigate the origin of the text and take action, if found to be malicious. Scamming text messages have risen greatly during Covid as people get more deliveries from online retailers. The scammers usually report a failed delivery with a link to request a new delivery attempt for a small fee. It won't be the £2.95 that they will be taking out of your account once you have handed over all your bank or card details! 7726 would spell SPAM on a telephone keypad.

Suspicous EMAILS should simply be forwarded to report@phishing.gov.uk

Suspicious WEBSITES can be reported by completed a short online form at the NCSC website. REPORT HERE

We will be covering security issues on social media as well in the next week. In the meantime ignore all cyrpto currency and share dealing links, and never enter your log in details again from a link.
