Over the last decade Halloween has become a much loved festival here in the UK and children of all ages plan their outfits and activities with mounting excitement. Even our houses get the spooky treatment and pumpkin picking has become a beloved annual tradition. Popular local radio station Sandgrounder Radio has helped promote the Pumpkin Patch in Hightown for the last few years and this Saturday, the station will be broadcasting LIVE from the farm amid acres of the vibrant orange gourds.


The Pumpkin Patch is open from 9am - 6pm and has piles of FREE parking as well as a FREE Maize Maze to explore. Pumpkins start from £4 (3 for £10) up to £6 each for their XXL Giant Gladiator Pumpkins (or 3 for £15). There is also maize picking, squashes & gourds as well as pumpkin carving kits on offer. The Sandgrounder Radio team will be on site from 10am with their Big Blue Car in association with David Hayton Peugeot & Mazda. They will be chatting to visitors and soaking up the atmosphere .... as well as picking some pumpkins of their own!
