With the weather forecast looking good for the long Easter break it will be packed in Southport over the next few days.
Once again Sefton Council are continuing to neglect Southport as the Sea Wall has not been cleared of sand. Seats are buried and the cycle path and walkways are covered in large drifts.
The whole area looks tired and unloved not a great advert for the "Classic Resort"

No doubt someone will be along to clear it up next Tuesday and them empty the rubbish bins a week later. You can bank on Sefton to do it. Not.

Bins get emptied every night. Oh no! Sand along the pathways that run adjacent to a beach in a seaside resort. How shocking. Surprised no one on here has suggested concreting over the beach yet. Come on you muppets, get real please.

It's an idea, grassing it over has not worked.

Haven't you heard about Austerity - apparently it's all the rage.
Anyone who voted Conservative or Lib Dem in 2010 and is wondering why things take longer now - buy a mirror and the answer will be staring right back at you.

Oh Austerity which doesn't seem to affect the bigger pigs in the Sefton Council trough although Ms Carney is off to spend her wad.
You can always tell the council lackeys they defend the indefensible every time.

Get those who have been sentenced to do community service to move it and save the council some money, a good old chain gang.

They didn't have a shovel in her size. I seem to recall your refusing to accept simple irrefutable facts previously when hell bent on Council bashing - that seems to be a common trait with the council bashing lackeys.

We must keep up and increase the "Council bashing" otherwise the current poor performance will continue and become the norm.
Too many think a "job on the council" is an early retirement plan at "local" tax payers expense.

Not many people do apply for council jobs now. As they don’t pay above the private sector anymore. The weekend rota does not apply any more. Then you get superannuation taken off your weekly which is ok if you do at least 20 years etc. Always wanted to be a grittier wagon man???(ha).
