A second Liverpool Labour MP has announced that she is quitting the Labour Party because Jeremy Corbyn is 'unfit to be Prime Minister.


Dame Louise Elleman, the veteran MP for Liverpool Riverside who previously served for 16 years leader of Lancashire County Council told Channel 4 News that after 55 years in Labour she had come to the end of the line.


Dame Louise has been close to Luciana Berger, the other Jewish Merseyside MP who recently left the Labour Party for similar reasons and subsequently joined the Liberal Democrats.

The two MPs used the platform provided by local Jewish organisations this summer to warn Jeremy Corbyn and the Labour Party about their failure to deal properly with anti-semitism in the Labour Party and they have also experienced serious trouble internally within the Liverpool Labour Party which is heavily dominated by Momentum which has led to senior and experienced councillors being deselected.


Mr Corbyn's national poll ratings repeatedly show him to be the most unpopular leader of the Opposition in history with a net negative rating of minus 60.

At its worst, Michael Foot only descended to minus 57 while Tory Ian Duncan Smith's bottom rating was minus 37.

No wonder Labour don't want an election surely his "principled" face both ways over Brexit has nothing to do with it.

Still the dysfunctional Boris is only on plus 33 and after this week it will climb,

why Labour keep pushing Boris up defeats me.
