Sometime or other it will click with some one at the council that the bins need emptying more often on Bank holidays especially sunny ones.
Or am I being optimistic ?

I can't get my head around the fact people think this is the councils fault.
Are the people dumping their rubbish all dragged up, with no respect for others property.
We went to martin mere on Sunday with a picnic, water bottles etc. Have a guess where all the rubbish is.......
In my bin at home.
This is just a another case of no one taking responsibility for their own actions. To easy to blame some one else.

Here we go again - another cheap pop at the Council.
Have the cuts passed you by? The Council has no spare cash - the Cleansing budget has been slashed - there are less than half the staff in the relevant department than 4 years ago!
Who do you suggest does this extra work, where will the personnel come from, who will pay for it?
Over to you.

Are you willing to do it or foot the bill, somebody has to and the Government won't.

If they'd been on the beach dishing fines out then there'd be a news article on here slagging them off accompanied by dozens of posts saying they were driving tourists away.

If life has taught me one thing it's this - never underestimate the capacity of idiots to make stupid statements.

The usual defenders of the councils poor performance are out in force and are clearly part of the pool the council fishes in for its staff.
Taking a wild stab at the lazy scruffy litter droppers cycle I might come to the conclusion that today they won't generate as much so the bins won't need emptying as often so I won't need to allocate as many hours today.
Why not fine them I as well ? I manage to go out without dropping any litter anywhere.
I would much prefer litter scruffs to be fined than motorists 10 minutes late back to their cars.

You really are a prize prat! Were you savaged by a bin or set upon by a sweeper's brush as a child?
You glibly post your snide little comments about Council Staff yet, when asked to offer some detail on how you would remedy the situation, your only contribution is to slink back behind your keyboard to have another pop.
You do this without - and this is key - without offering anything costructive to the debate other than mealy mouthed insults aimed at people who probably can't or won't hit back.
Are you really such an idiot that you don't have the mental capacity to acknowledge the reasons behind a situation?
That was a rhetorical question by the way as you clearly are.

But my comments clearly state how you could improve the situation ?
I take it from your ill considered rant you work for the council or would like to ?

Your "solution" is flawed as you didn't say where you'd get the extra hours to pick up the bank holiday litter from. You might as well have said "get the litter fairy to pick it up".
With that level of "thinking" you wouldn't get a job with the council.

No they don't - over to you - again.
Either -
(a) tell us all how you would deliver the same level of service with no extra resources following
the cuts.
(b) shut up.
(c) keep digging that hole for yourself.

Is there a short thinkers group on here ?
The answer is boringly simple but of course completely eludes the council apologists.
You simply allocate the hours according to need, so today you need less than a busy Bank holiday.
I know its rocket science for council employees but in the real world that's what happens.
Fining the lazy scruffy people who leave litter twice as much might help fund some more hours as well, we manage to visit many places and don't drop litter.

I'll say it again for the hard of thinking like you - the staff are not there, haven't been for some time. There is no money to pay for extra so - back to you Einstein.

Short thinker?? Did you make that up yourself? Pretty much what I'd expect from someone who believes in the litter fairy.
