Yesterday, I spoke with Rail Minister, Andrew Jones MP, about the our rail services in Southport and I continued my campaign for the return of the hourly service to Manchester Piccadilly. I also spoke about the need for a new ticket machine at the station in our town centre.

Perhaps talking to the jokers who run Northern might be more fruitful, does the Rail Minister live in Southport--NO Does he commute on the Southport -Manchester line --NO will he arrange for a ticket machine to replace the coffee and newspaper sellers in the supposed "ticket office" probably not as that is Northerns job. Why would Merseytravel worry about selling tickets on another companies trains they can't ensure everyone on their own trains have tickets.
