Due to expected adverse weather conditions in the region, Network Rail may put into effect a speed restriction across our network on Sunday 9 February.
- Timetables on the Chester & Ellesmere Port lines will change, with some services departing earlier or later. Full timeable information can be found below.
- Planned engineering work on the Southport line will still go ahead, wiith rail replacement buses running between Sandhills and Formby stations. Full information can be found HERE.
- Passengers are advised to check our website or Twitter account @merseyrail before they travel for the latest service updates.
- Those who live near railways lines should ensure trampolines, gazebos or similar items are fixed in place, as they become airborne very easily in strong winds and can end up on the railway resulting in disruption.
- If you, or anyone you know, has precarious trees, trampolines or similar items on their property that could fall or be blown onto the railway, please report it to Network Rail’s customer helpline on 0345 711 4141.

these modern trains are a bit nesh ,
and they have to rely on the bus replacement service .
