Today's sunny Bank Holiday weather has seen hundreds of people arrive in Southport.

The seafront was really busy with people enjoying the sun.

Ocean Plaza was packed with cars even though nothing is open.

I'd expect him to be upset and frustrated at the stupidity of those risking theirs and others health just to sit looking at the sand.

I can't get my head around why you would go to somewhere you know there are going to be lots of people?

And you are safer outside from "Any" virus than being stuffed up indoors!! We all have our own opinions on this episode, farce, Cock up, epi or pandemic and perhaps we all think we have it solved, which isn't anywhere near the truth and never will be.

Funny if you look back at past pandemics etc or "Bad" winter flu, perish the thought of likening Covid to those?? But Hong Kong flu killed 80K over here, bad flu in 1999/20 another 30K, 2014/15 44K we could go on but we didn't trash the economy nor build up countless thousands of deaths from Christ knows what ailments???

No. the Government has screwed up here big time, right back before 23rd March and we went into lockdown a term used for penitentiary criminals in the USA and we've done nothing.

But no doubt I open myself up to experts, epidemiologists etc etc on here, but hey ho still have a go at someone sitting on a beach eh!!

We could all do with a good giggle during these trying times, and your fact less, pseudo scientific wittering’s always provide me with a source of amusement.
You are however quite correct in your definition of the term lockdown, but you failed to mention its other meaning.
“: a temporary condition imposed by governmental authorities (as during the outbreak of an epidemic disease) in which people are required to stay in their homes and refrain from or limit activities outside the home involving public contact (such as dining out or attending large gatherings)”
You go out and enjoy the sun on the packed beach with the rest of the plebs, I’ll continue to follow the science based advice from those who do actually know what they’re talking about.

The Government's strategy says that its scientific advisers - Sage - have said that "the risk of infection outside is significantly lower than inside". This has meant that the lockdown rules have been updated on the basis of "continued compliance with social distancing guidelines".

    There you go Donkey??
