The latest winners of Southport FC's Volunteer of the Month Award were presented with their vouchers at half-time against Kidderminster Harriers.




February’s winner was Alan Jones, Julia Urwin picked up the award for March and Michael Hopkins was April’s winner. Director Ian Kyle is pictured on the pitch with the award winners.


As the season draws to an end we would like to say a massive thank you to all our hardworking volunteers for their continued support over the season.


As with a lot of clubs at our level, Southport FC could not function without the volunteers and we can’t say thank you enough to every single person who assists at the club during the week, on a matchday or at any events held by the club.


Ian Kyle wrote in his programme notes: “Matchdays would not of course operate without each and every one of the volunteers who give up their time for free, through their sheer love for the Club.

This is certainly something we will be looking to develop and grow through the close season. I am not blind to the fact that there have been much comings and goings in respect of the volunteers over the last 12 months.

Hopefully we can over this summer persuade as many as possible to return for next season and become part of the team once again.”
