McColls convenience store on the corner of Portland Street and Hampton Road has been cordoned off by Police this morning.
A spokesman for Merseyside Police said: “Officers were called to the McColl’s store on Portland Street at 9.45pm.
“A 33 year-old man of no fixed abode and a 28 year-old man from the Southport area have been arrested.
“Both are currently in custody where they will be questioned by detectives.”
