I came across this copy of a photograph which was published in the Southport Visiter, I think it was around 1961 or 1962?

The first captain at the 8th Southport Co. (Crossens Methodist) was Eric Wallwork who lived on the Causeway. The Life Boy leader was Jim (Teddy Bear) Sutton. I was an officer in the 2nd Co. According to the BB website there are only 5 Companies in Southport:

1st St Philips
4th St Simons
7th Liverpool Rd Meths
9th Ainsdale Meths
10th Marshside Rd Meths.

What happened to the others and were did they meet? I can remember the 2nd who met at All Souls in Norwood Rd and the 3rd who met at Victoria Meths

Does anybody remember the others or have any memories of them?

If my memory serves me well (which it very often doesn't) I seem to remember a BB on the corner of Upper Aughton Road and Mosley Street. Probably 1940s/50s. Never knew it's name or number.
