Leeward Islands 150 and 16 for 2 trail Jamaica 188 and 270 (Bernard 76, Lambert 70, Pagon 55) by 292 runs
An 81-run partnership between Tamar Lambert and David Bernard helped Jamaica tighten their grip on the third day of their opening game of the Carib Beer Cup at the Kaiser Sports Club. After managing a slender 38-run lead in the first innings, Jamaica were reduced to 39 for 4 due to a burst from Wilden Cornwall, the medium pacer. But a steady 55 from Donovan Pagon began the revival before Lambert and Bernard consolidated Jamaica's position. Jamaica ended their second innings on 270 and left Leeward Islands with an uphill task of getting 309 for victory. Jerome Taylor's double strike put Leeward Islands in further trouble as they ended the day on 16 for 2.
Gros Islet,St. Lucia.......Jamaica put themselves in line to pick up first innings points against the Windward Islands by the close of play on day two of their Carib Cup second round cricket match at the Beausejour Cricket Ground Saturday.
At the close, the Windwards were struggling on 64 for seven in reply to Jamaica's 244 with the left handed St. Lucian Sergio Fedee being the only batsman to reach double figures so far with an unbeaten 35.

Carlton Baugh Jnr,played enterprisingly from the start but drove ambitiously at Deighton Butler and was caught behind for 25. Bevan Browne, one and Nikita Miller, seven followed soon afterwards.
Browne fell to Peters while Miller was caught at forward short leg by Craig Emmanuel, off part time bowler Devon Smith, who came on just before tea.

Peters was the most successful bowler for the Windwards with three for 31, Deighton Butler captured two for 34, Rawl Lewis bagged two for 68 with a wicket apiece going to Smith and Shillingford.

It soon became 34-4 as Junior Murray was smartly stumped by Carlton Baugh off the left arm orthodox bowler Nikita Miller without scoring,Five runs later Liam Sebastien was leg before for no score to give Miller his second wicket.
