Rainbow Hub's calling on all Rainbow Ramblers and Superheroes to join them on Saturday 9th May for a Virtual Ramble and 'walk further for those who can't'.
Normally, at this time of year, the Mawdesley based charity would be organising hundreds of people taking in their annual Rainbow Ramble.
They have had no option but to cancel this year's event which has been devastating because the Ramble is the perfect opportunity to celebrate the achievements of the children, the commitment of supporters - and raises a staggering £30,000 each year.
But they are not giving up and are going to try something different, and asking all those who would usually take part in the Rainbow Ramble, as well as anybody else who would like to support them, to make a donation and enter their Virtual Rainbow Ramble.
On Saturday 9th May, as long as people stay safe and keep within the government guidelines, Rainbow Hub are asking people to use their daily exercise to walk, run, or cycle the 5 or 11 miles usually undertaken for the Rainbow Ramble. If they are isolating, shielding or not a fan of walking or running, they can skip, hop, roll or jump around their house or garden, do the hoola hoop, press ups, star jumps or anything else they fancy.
The usual Ramble entry fee is £15 for adults; £5 for children and free for those in wheelchairs and pushchairs - but any amount donated would be fantastic and help to raise some of the funds that will be needed when services can resume.

Lyndsay Fahey, Head of Fundraising at Rainbow Hub, said “We are devastated that we have had to cancel the Ramble and many of our other popular events.
"We have no statutory funding and rely on events and grants to raise the funds needed to provide the services so vital for the children we support.
"We hope everyone will take part in our Virtual Ramble and share pictures and videos completing their challenge on the day. We’re hoping they may even set up their own just giving page and get sponsorship.”
