Who buys Antique/old chairs ??
I need to find somebody local who is prepared to buy a set of 6 old wooden/leather dining chairs that will need upholstry restoration.
The set includes one carver and the original leather has a rose in each back seat.
The wooden frames are sturdy and solid. I am guessing it is oak and early 1900s, but that is why I would like to show them to an expert.
Not sure who to look for or contact, know anyone?

an expert
Chairs like this where first made in the 1600s copied in the Victorian period and then reproduced in the 1920s/30s and again in the 50s/60s by firms like "Croydon".
The rose would indicate that your chairs would be from the 1950s/60s. But with out looking at them in person they may be 1930s.
In auction a set of 6 chairs with only one carver would bring about £15 to £20 a chair.
good luck
Ellis and sons Auctioneers on Lord Street may be your best way of selling them.
