McAfee, LLC formerly known as McAfee Associates, Inc. from 1987–2014 and Intel Security Group from 2014–2019 is an American global computer security software company headquartered in Santa Clara, California and claims to be the world's largest dedicated security technology company.
The company was purchased by Intel in February 2011, and became part of the Intel Security division. McAfee VirusScan is powered by McAfee, Inc. Create and maintain an antivirus program.
