As someone who uses a Blue Badge occasionally with a relative on board, the abuse of cards by 4x4 drivers is why it makes it so difficult for genuine card holders to park in the designated spaces.
More needs to be done to stop abuse of cards but we all know that isn't going to happen. The extra width of the parking space attracts big cars because they don't want other motorists scratching them when they open car doors.

Odd, We use a blue badge constantly, Very rare I see people without a badge.
The latest trend that annoys me is the person with the disability sat in the car while others do shopping for them. You would think they would know better.

Most councils do not prosecute people for using the blue badge when they are not entitled too.
